Billings TrailNet and Rimrock Subaru have teamed up to raise money for local multi-use trails at this year’s Winter Wheel Out.
The event begins with a snowy bike ride and will feature live music, local beer, food trucks, a silent auction, and a raffle for multiple prizes to raise funds for Billings’ trails.
The fundraiser on Saturday Feb. 25, 2017 is family-friendly and begins at 5:30 p.m. with the optional bike ride.
Billings TrailNet has given more than $375,000 to building the local trail system since 2004.
Since December 2016, Billings TrailNet bike drives have refurbished used bikes and given more than 30 bikes to students at McKinley Elementary School.
The group also raised $23,000 for a new trail between Swords Rimrock Park and the Yellowstone Kelly interpretive site, which is planned to be built this summer.
Rimrock Subaru is hosting the Winter Wheel Out in honor of the new 2017 Subaru Impreza “More 2 Love” rollout.
Attendees will be some of the first to view the new model and may test drive the car during the evening.
The funds will go directly to the development of local trail infrastructure.
Raffle prizes include Ray-Ban sunglasses, Marmot backpacks, Klean Kanteen water bottles, headphones and for dog lovers, and a Big Shrimpy Versa Seat Cover.
