Val Thorens in France wins 'Best Ski Resort In The World' for the third time in four years

Val Thorens in France has proved once again that it is a cut above the rest after winning the title of ‘Best Ski Resort In The World’ for the third time in four years. 

The resort in the French Alps was given the gong at the fourth annual World Ski Awards, which took place this weekend. 

More than 1.6 million people from 85 countries voted in the awards.

They chose Val Thorens because of a combination of ‘the best of skiing, the best of atmospheres, a pioneering spirit, breath-taking natural environment and exceptional snow conditions’.

Val Thorens is the highest resort in Europe and it sits in the 3 Vallées – the largest ski area in the world.

The resort managers have claimed that their success at the awards lies in their decision to hand out…
