Sunday: Brennan and Kasich – CBS News

Washington is a little quieter this week with Congress out of town for the President’s Day recess, but that hasn’t eased the tension between President Trump and the intelligence community.  By 7:31am Friday, the President once again began his day tweeting about leaks from the national security community.

This Sunday we’ll speak with former CIA Director John Brennan in his first television interview since the start of the Trump administration.  How might the strained relationship between President Trump and the intelligence community endanger our national security?  We’ll also get Brennan’s thoughts on the assassination of North Korean Leader Kim Jung-un’s half-brother, Kim Jong-nam, in Malaysia as the story takes a spy novel-twist with reports that a toxic nerve agent was employed in the murder. 

Friday the president met with former GOP rival and Ohio governor John Kasich at the White House. The two spoke on issues ranging from Obamacare to American foreign policy. We’ll talk to Gov. Kasich on Sunday about his meeting with the president and possibilities of the two working together in the future.

Many Republican members of congress were met with angry protesters at town hall events held in their home districts throughout the country.
