MKACyber, a rapidly expanding Managed Security Operations Services Provider (MSSP) and security consulting firm with elite SOC expertise, today announced that its founder and CEO, Mischel Kwon, has been named to the inaugural class of Hall of Fame recipients for the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) CyberCorps: Scholarships for Service (SFS) program. Ms. Kwon is one of three recipients chosen from a pool of more than 60 applicants for this year’s inaugural Hall of Fame awards.
“I’m honored to be chosen as an NSF SFS Hall of Fame recipient. The CyberCorps: Scholarships for Service program was important for my education, which prepared me as a cybersecurity expert at the top levels of both the public and private sectors,” said Ms. Kwon. “The work that NSF is doing through the SFS program to help get qualified people from the cybersecurity discipline into the government is of critical importance. Personally, I’m incredibly proud to have helped put over 60 cybersecurity professionals into the Federal government through my work as an educator and I look forward to continuing to work with The CyberCorps: Scholarships for Service program in the years to come.”
The NSF SFS program was established in 2000 to provide scholarships to students studying cybersecurity and to increase the ability of the United States higher education enterprise to produce cybersecurity professionals.
