Most of us can’t help getting at least a little bit excited at the prospect of a free gift – and it seems that royalty is no different.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted Prince William enthusiastically rifling through a small leather pouch in the Royal Box at the Wimbledon men’s final yesterday, prompting some to ask if he was carrying a ‘man bag’.
And he pointed to a New York Times article, which states that this year’s gift was a ‘green leather zippered bag embossed with the Wimbledon logo and the words “Royal Box 2017″.’

Additionally, guests are given a ‘sterling silver lapel pin’, a commemorative photograph and a seating chart.
It was Prince William’s first visit to the Championships this year, so it’s understandable that he found himself getting into the spirit of things.
The Duchess of Cambridge, who is now patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club after taking over from the Queen, made two visits on the first and last days.
However, they were both beaten by the Middleton family with Carole racking up five appearances, Pippa four and James three.
