Full Metal Alchemist is back, after seven years the popular franchise is making a resurgence with the live-action film, and apparently new manga. A new trailer for the upcoming film has been released and showed off all the classic FMA favorites. The new trailer gave fans their first-look at iconic characters like Roy Mustang, Winry Rock Bell, Maes Hughes, and the Homunculi. Villains like Lust and Envy were given a spotlight, and Gluttony also made an appearance. The trio were shown using their strange alchemy skills, and their CGI highlights look surprisingly good for a Japanese anime adaptation. With the upcoming movie it looks like the original creator behind the franchise is making a comeback to manga.
For the first time in seven years, Hiromu Arakawa has announced that she will be returning to Fullmetal Alchemist. There will be a new Special Edition Manga written after by the original creator herself. The new book is going to be given to all attendees who see the new live-action film adaptation, which is set to open in Japan on December 1st.
