The 35th anniversary of the event will be held from July 28 to 30 at Solberg Airport in Readington.


FLEMINGTON -At the heart of the Flemington Community Partnership’s new marketing campaign, “Explore Flemington,” is a phrase that describes the county seat — “undeniably cool Americana.”

“Whether you’re from Hunterdon County, or further afield in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or New York, Flemington is a terrific choice for a day trip,” said Ann Meredith, Flemington Community Partnership’s newly appointed executive director.

The “Explore Flemington” campaign will be rolled out on the Flemington Community Partnership’s new website,, as well as on billboards across New Jersey, in magazines, newspapers and digital media.

The website, complete with a complete interactive map, describes Flemington Borough as “Destination Doughnut Hole” because it is part of a larger entity, which includes Raritan Township, known as “Flemington.”

“The bottom line, though, is that Flemington Borough is smack-dab in the center of Flemington. And though residents refer to both entities simply as ‘Flemington,’ like a sweet, gooey, jelly doughnut, you’ll find the best bits in the center,” the website says.

Undeniably cool Americana “is the vibe you’ll encounter when you stroll through Flemington’s neighborhoods, shops, eateries, historical venues and artsy enclaves,” according to the website. The borough’s restaurants are  “Contemporary Americana” and its shops and attractions are “Classic Americana.”
