Fire, explosion at Garden Grove business investigated

GARDEN GROVE Authorities were investigating a blaze and explosion Friday morning at a business that makes metal tanks.

The fire was reported around 7:50 a.m. at the Catalina Cylinders in the 7300 block of Anaconda Ave., said Garden Grove Fire Department Capt. Brad Spell.

The fire was contained to a corner of the building that involved metal dust production, he said. There was no major damage to the building.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation. No one was injured in the incident.
